About Passwird.com
Passwird.com is Young, Fun, and Saves You Money
Passwird.com lets you save money in a hip and fun way. The young shopper behind it is a student with a love for saving money when shopping. Checking for background however, the site appears to have been registered all the way back in 2001. Which makes one think, is the site admin still a student after 10 years? If not, was the site built while Irwin J. Chee, the blog owner was about 14 years old? We’re yet to confirm.
As for the actual site, it features a very simple interface with blue background. The deals are listed in a summarized version in the middle. For an old site, Passwird.com does not have any policies and terms when it comes to site usage. The About Us page doesn’t seem to have been updated for a very long time. There is no social bookmarking option on the site except for a Twitter icon. There is however an unofficial Facebook group page at least where members can discuss about the site. Some personal questions about the site admin were also answered through Facebook. Problem is; the last update even on this page was also a long time ago. It was last October 2010 through a member post.
The deals are at least updated daily with older deals moved to the Archive section. Deals featured on the main page that are already expired are also marked so readers won’t have to check them out. About 30 of the best deals handpicked by the site are listed on the main deals page. These are from the current day’s deals as well as the deals from the previous day. After all, not all deals expire right away and some extends for days or weeks.
There is no list of categories or stores but some of the most featured stores include Walmart, Newegg, Tanga, Amazon, Apple, Buy.com, The Body Shop, Sierra Trading Post, Woot, Savemore, Restaurant.com, Saveology, Lenovo, Logitech, Margaritaville, GNC.com, OfficeMax, J&R, Drugstore.com, and Overstock.
The site does not feature deals based on paid merchant advertisements. Passwird.com scours the World Wide Web diligently for the best deals from any store. Each summarized post provides all information you need to know such as the name of the product, the prices, shipping information, and additional product details or description. The source of the deal is posted at the bottom of the post in big bold letters. Clicking on the link redirects you to the actual source so you can read more information.
